Avalon Resort - The Place Where I Belong In Naked West Virginia

How many of you have ever been to a nudist resort or club? I'm not talking about a swingers club where you go to look for action. Just as wearing clothes doesn't make you nonsexual; conversely, not wearing clothes doesn't automatically make you in need of sexual gratification - it's all about appropriateness, decorum, and respect. I really have nothing against people who want social nudity and social sex - we are, after all, sexual creatures. It's just that I personally don't get naked only for sex.  I'm naked every moment I can be because that's pretty much what feels natural and best to me. I enjoy just kicking back and just "being" - especially in nature. For me it's the ultimate in relaxation, peace, and spirituality.  

But I digress.

So one of my favorite places to just simple exist naked is Avalon Resort near Berkely Springs, West Virginia, sandwiched in between Maryland and Virginia. My wife and I first went there years ago shortly after they suffered a catastrophic fire that leveled their lodge. It was all right, and we enjoyed ourselves, but it seemed lacking.  - so we never went back. And that was unfair, cause they were in trying to get their groove back. 

But this past spring we were looking to get away and get naked, and in looking for a place a picture of their indoor pool popped up and it looked amazing, so we decided to give it another try - and am I glad we did. The indoor pool is a pure pleasure in the cooler months and their new cabins are a pristine luxury. A bonus is their hiking trails and the fact that they are adjacent to the nude housing development of Sommersete, which provides great strolls through what could be a suburban neighborhood outside of Anytown USA.  So it's become a favorite of ours, Good food and drink to boot!
